“In 1999, I met with Mayor Hays to plan the founding of Butterfly Community Ministries in Sherman Park. After much success, Mayor Hays encouraged us to move to the Levy neighborhood to specifically serve the Hispanic community- and we’ve been there ever since, empowering the Hispanic and immigrant communities. Mayor Hays believed strongly in serving all people in North Little Rock. Today, Seis Puentes has served thousands of immigrants in our community, including those who migrated to North Little Rock after natural disasters, such as hurricane Katrina. Mayor Hays: thank you for your leadership and we are honored to carry on your vision.”

The public is invited to attend a Celebration of Life for former North Little Rock Mayor Patrick Henry Hays on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 3:00 pm. The service will be held at First Pentecostal Church at 1401 Calvary Road in North Little Rock.
