Back to School with Seis Puentes

This event is open to the public. Free backpacks will be handed out in a drive-through-style manner. There is a limit of 3 bags per car. Participants will also be offered free back-to-school hair cuts inside Ridge Road Elementary.

North Little Rock School District teacher and ESL specialist Lisa Harrison says, “I am so grateful that our students and community can participate in theSeis Puentes backpack drive. Teachers know how hard things can get for our families and their budgets when trying to get ready for the school year, especially families with multiple kiddos. I know students love school supplies just as much as we teachers do and this is a wonderful example of how Seis Puentes is here to help!”

Last year, Seis Puentes was able to deliver 516+ backpacks and 50+ free haircuts. This year, the 501(c)3 nonprofit plans to expand their delivery. Seis Puentes Hispanic Outreach is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization on a mission to EMPOWER the Hispanic community in Central Arkansas and North Little Rock by offering free ESL lessons, the North Little Rock City Identification program, children’s art programs, financial literacy and digital literacy workshops, a food pantry, and other resources and outreach to assist with general life in Central Arkansas and North Little Rock.
