Jane Ann Bilon was born in Little Rock and attended public schools in Pulaski and Phillips counties. After graduation from Hendrix College with a degree in Spanish, she began a teaching career that culminated with her retirement from Pulaski County Special School District in June 2011, having taught Spanish for 18 years and, more recently, English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) in grades K-12 in Sherwood and northern Pulaski County. She credits her graduate school education at UALR and experiences as an educator for preparing her for the transition to adult education. Her interests include reading, traveling within and outside the U.S., singing and playing handbells at church, and being with family and friends. Jane Ann works with Seis Puentes through Pulaski County Special School District Adult Education Program. She feels that working at Seis Puentes allows her the opportunity to use Spanish and English to help all students reach their personal and academic goals.
